LUBBOCK, Texas- The Cowboys will travel to the heat of Texas to take on the Chaparrals of Lubbock Christian. The Cowboys are scheduled for a three game series, at 4 p.m. on Friday and a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The Chaparrals are currently 4-0 on the season. Last weekend they went 3-0 against RMAC opponent Adams St 12-7, 7-6, and 20-4. They then took on West Texas A&M in a single game that the Chaparrals took by a score of 13-3. They are lead at the plate by Dillon Drury who is batting .600 with three hits, three RBIs and 1.000% slugging. Hunter McFall leads the team in RBIs with 11 on eight hits and four walks. The Chaparrals have started four different pitchers. Only one of them, Guillamine Blanchette, has gone more than six innings.

The Cowboys struggles this past weekend against Fort Hays State as they went 1-2. The Cowboys had no problems at the plate scoring 31 runs over weekend.
Easton Garcia had two triples, a homerun, and five RBIs while batting .385.
Corey Nelson recorded the win for the Cowboys in a relief appearance while pitching two thirds of an innings.
