CANYON, Texas- The Cowboy baseball team will hit the road to Texas to take on #25 West Texas A&M. The Buffalos and Cowboys will play four games in three days. The teams will play Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and the finale will be on Sunday at noon.

The Buffalos come into the weekend with a 5-2 overall record. The Buffs' opened the season against RMAC member Colorado Mines in which they took the 6-3 win. The Buffs' fell to Lubbock Christian 13-3. They are currently on a two game winning streak with both wins coming over Northwestern Oklahoma St. In the first game against Northwestern Oklahoma Brooks Trujillo pitched a nine inning one hitter and struck out 17 in their 8-0 win.

The Buffs' are led by Trujillo on the mound with a 2-0 record, a 1.20 ERA, with five walks, and 21 strikeouts. At the dish the Buffs' are led by Matt Cole who is batting .333 in 24 plate appearances, one homerun, one triple, and five RBIs.

The Cowboys are coming off being swept in a three game series by Lubbock Christian. The Cowboys have seen promise at time this year but are looking to put it all together this weekend. Leading the Cowboys in starts on the hill this season is
Joel Lamont and
Cody Lawson. Both pitchers have started two games.
Corey Nelson has the Cowboy's lone win for the season. At the plate
Jesus Caporal is batting .364 in 22 at bats with eight hits, two of which are doubles.
Easton Garcia leads the Cowboys with six RBIs.
