Box Score 2 LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowboys and Rangers met is Las Vegas after a snowstorm in Denver created field problems for Regis. The two teams didn't play their normal format, they would play two on Saturday and Sunday.

Game 1The Cowboys would drop game one 17-6 after a big Regis fifth inning.

The Rangers scored one in the top of the first and that's where we be going into the top of the fifth. The big play of the inning was when the score was 3-0 Rangers and they had the pond loaded as Overboe dig his metal cleats into the ground. He singled to left field and drove in two run to give the Rangers the 5-0 lead. The Rangers would score two more runs, a total of seven in the inning, to give them the 8-0 lead after five. They added two more in the top of the seventh, four in the top of the eighth, and three in the top of the ninth to make it a 17-1 game with the Cowboys down to their last three outs.

The Cowboys would finally put a crooked number on the board. With
Brian Chaparro at second and
Easton Garcia at first
Brad Blackwell smacked a single to second base and the Cowboys had the bases loaded.
Jeremy McCarty was hit by a pitch to score Chaparro from third.
Alvaro Gonzalez and the pitcher Thoutt battled for six pitches before Gonzalez set one over the fence for a grand slam and to make it a 17-6 final score.

Game 2 The second game would be a much closer game. The Cowboys scored first but were not able to get the win as they fell by a score of 8-4.

The Cowboys were on the board in the bottom of the second. With one out
Emilio Medina doubled to left center. After a ground out by
Jesus Caporal that moved Medina over,
Joel Lamont doubted to right center and gave the Cowboys their first lead of the series.

Regis answered right back in the top of the third with two runs of their own to regain the lead. The Rangers bats weren't done as in the top of the fourth they added two more runs to make it a 4-1 game.

McCarty led off the bottom of the fourth with a single to left. Gonzalez walked to give the Cowboys runners at the first two bases. After an out Caporal walked to load the bases. With two outs and Chaparro at the dish the Rangers threw a wild pitch that allowed McCarty to score and the other runner to advance to second and third. Chaparro singled to left to add two more RBIs to his total and tied the game up at 4-4.

Regis would go ahead and regain the lead in the top of the sixth on on two hits and two Cowboys errors as they plated four to give us the final score of 8-4.
