GOLDEN, Colo.- The Cowboys will head up to the centennial state to take on Colorado Mines for a weekend series. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and Sunday at noon.Â
Scouting New Mexico HighlandsThe Cowboys enter the weekend with a 5-24, 2-14 record and coming off being swept by #2 Colorado Mesa.

The Cowboys are led by
Jesus Caporal at the plate who is batting .311 with four doubles, a triple, and 12 RBIs.
Alvaro Gonzalez leads the team in both RBIs (25) and homeruns (7) while batting .271 and .514 slugging percentage.

Joel Lamont (0-5) and
Cody Lawson (1-5) lead the Cowboys in starts with eight a piece but have been unlucky despite good performances as they are a combined 1-10.

Scouting Colorado MinesThe Orediggers are 14-10, 7-5 this season and are coming off a weekend in which their games against Regis were canceled due to weather. The last series the Orediggers had was against Colorado Mesa in which the Orediggers escaped with one win but lost the series 3-1.

The Orediggers are led by RMAC Preseason Player of the Year Nate Olinger who is batting .398 with a .625 slugging percentage. The outfielder/pitcher has appeared in all 24 games this season racking up 11 doubles, three homeruns, and 25 RBIs.

Olinger is one of two pitchers, the other being A.J. Valerio, with three wins this season. Olinger is 3-1 this season in four starts with a 3.65 ERA in 24.2 innings. The Cowboys also expect to see Tyler Thomas (2-3, 4.09 ERA, 6 starts) and Christian Rooney (1-2, 5.06 ERA, 5 starts)
