Box Score 2 GOLDEN, Colo.- After unplayable field conditions yesterday the Cowboys and Orediggers started their series with a doubleheader.

Game 1Despite four homeruns the Cowboys dropped the first game by the score of 10-7

With two outs and runners on the corners
Jesus Caporal singled to right to score Gonzales.
Â
Gonzalez led the Cowboys off in the top of the third when he decided to send one over the wall to left center.
Jeremy McCarty didn't want Gonzalez to be alone in the homerun club as he went deep for back-to-back homers and make it a 3-0 Cowboys lead. Three batters later
Emilio Medina went deep to left center. After three innings the Cowboys lead 4-0.

The Orediggers decided to start their comeback as their scored two runs in the bottom of the third. It started with a Smith homerun to left to lead off the inning.

In the top of the fourth Gonzalez led off with a homerun to left field and give the Cowboys the 5-2 lead. The Orediggers answered by sending up seven batters and pushed three runs in their half of the fourth inning to tie the game at five. In the fifth the Orediggers added one more in the fifth to take the 6-5 lead.

The Cowboys tied the game in the top of the sixth on an Orediggers error. The Orediggers would score four runs in the top of the eighth that made it a 10-6 game witht eh Cowboys down to their final three outs.

The Cowboys scored another run on an
Easton Garcia double and
Brian Chaparro scored to make it a 10-7 final.
Game 2Colorado Mines started their offense early as they took game 2 by a score of 3-2.

In the bottom of the first the Orediggers had the bases loaded when Marvel hit a fly ball to center to score a run and get his team on the board early. Another sacrifice fly to center by Seisor scored another run to give the Orediggers the early 2-0 lead in the seven inning game.

The Cowboys cut the Orediggers' lead in half in the top of the sixth on a Garcia single to score Chaparo. Being down to their last six outs Gonzalez lead off the sixth with a double to left. McCarty traded places with Gonzalez to tie to game at two after five and a half innings.

The Orediggers would score the go ahead run in the bottom of the sixth on a double by Smith and would give his team the 3-2 lead that would be out final score.
