Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowboys celebrated senior day on Sunday in their last home game of the season. The Grizzlies spoiled the day as they took the final game of the series by a score of 14-5.

The Cowboys honored seniors
Anthony Badalucco, Alex Guitierrez,
Alvaro Gonzalez, and
Jesus Caporal before the game.

The Grizzlies scored 11 runs in the first five innings before the Cowboys were able to get on the board. The bottom of the fifth started off with a walk for the Cowboys by
Brian Chaparro. With the bases loaded
Frankie Silva reached on a Grizzly's error and Chaparro scored.

The Cowboys were down 14-1 headed into the bottom of the seventh. Senior
Alvaro Gonzalez was on first and
Cody Castro at first when
Jeremy McCarty singled down the left field line and Castro went 180 feet and scored the second Cowboy run of the day. For the second time on the day Silva reached on an error and Gonzalez came around to score. A single by
Jesus Caporal scored Silva and McCarty.

The Cowboys will be headed to CSU-Pueblo to face the Thunderwolves next weekend for a three game series. The first game will be on Friday at 7 p.m. Live stats will be provided by Pueblo.Â
