Cowboys Head To Pueblo For Four Game Series

Last Time Out 
Last weekend the Cowboys drop two-of-three games to the Grizzlies of Adams St. In the lone Cowboy win Joel Lamont threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts on his way to being name Subway Athlete of the Week and RMAC Picture of the Week.
 
Last Time Grizzlies and Cowboys Met
The Thunderwolves and the Cowboys last met back in March in the Cowboys first RMAC home game of the season. The Thunderwolves took three-of-four from the Cowboys. The Cowboys were able to hand the Thunderwolves their first loss of the season as Emilio Medina hit a walk off homerun on the first pitch of the bottom of the ninth.
 
Scouting New Mexico Highlands
The Cowboys are led on the mound by Joel Lamont and Cody Lawson who have started 12 games each for the Cowboys. Lamont has a 2-5 record with a 4.86 ERA in 63 innings of work this season with 28 walks while striking out 62 batters. Lawson leads the team in wins with a record of 3-6 with a 4.92 ERA.
 
Senior Alvaro Gonzalez leads the team at the plate in batting average (.323), homeruns (11), is tied in doubles with 10, and second on the team in RBIs with 35. His 11 homeruns also leds the conference by three. Jesus Caporal raised his average by 14 points to put him over the .300 mark. Brad Blackwell also joined the .300 club as he raised his average to .305.
 
Scouting Adams St.
The Thunderwolves have the two leaders in batting average. Jordan Godman leads the conference with a .503 conference average and Dominick Bregar is second at .438. Godman has played in 37 games this season with 147 at-bats with six triples, which is tied for first in conference.

The Cowboys should expect to see Cameron Weinberg and Brandon Conlin. Weinberg is 3-4 this season in 10 starts with a 3.57 ERA in 58 innings pitched. He is averaging 8.69 strikeouts per game Clnlin has a 4-3 record in 11 starts this season with a 4.19 ERA. Leading the team in wins though is Kyla Lazcno with a five. He has pitched 42.2 innings in nine starts. He has a 5.70 ERA while striing out 36 and walking 11.
