Box Score 2 Golden, Colo.- The Cowboys dropped both games of the doubleheader on Saturday and were looking to prevent the weekend sweep.

Game 1The Cowboys dropped the first game by a score of 10-7.

The Orediggers were on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly by Marvel to score Smith from first.

The Cowboys' battled back in the top of the second. With the bases loaded
Michael Sielinski grounded out to short and allowed
Jesus Caporal to score. Frankie Silvia added two RBIs to his numbers on a single to right to score Brain Chaparro and
Brad Blackwell. After 1.5 innings the Cowboys lead the Orediggers by a score of 3-1.

Mines regained the lead in the bottom of the third though. A Cowboy error allowed Smith to score from second. Two batters later Marvel doubled down the left field line and the Orediggers took the 4-3 lead. Marvel ended up scoring on a passed ball. Two batters later with the bases loaded the Cowboys walked in a run. It was a 6-3 Oredigger lead after three innings.

The Orediggers added two more runs in the fourth inning. In the top of the fifth and down 8-3 the Cowboys started to chip away. With
Alvaro Gonzalez at third and McCarty at first Caporal field out to right but Gonzalez tagged and made it a four run game.

The rally kept going in the top of the sixth. With the Silva on second
Joseph Cilladi reached on an error and Silva touched the plate to make it a 8-5 game. Later in the inning Caproal reached on a fielder's choice and
Easton Garcia scored from third. In the seventh Sielinski score on a Garcia single up the middle. After 6.5 the Cowboys trailed 8-7.

The Orediggers added two runs in the bottom of the eighth to give us the final score of 10-7.
Game 2The Orediggers continued to push runs across the board in the final game of the series as they finished the sweep of the Cowboys with a final score of 13-7.

The Orediggers went deep twice to right field in bottom of the first. They added one more in the bottom of the first on a single to right by Bevan. They added one more in the bottom of the third on a double by Jones to score Selsor.

The Cowboys got on the board in the top of the fourth on a lead off homerun to left center to make it a 4-1 game.

The Orediggers answered in in the bottom half of the inning when on a single by Lambert and a double play by Olinger that scored a run. In the bottom of the fifth the Orediggers added four more runs.

The top of the sixth was a great inning for the Cowgirls. With McCarty on first and Gonzalez on second
Emilio Medina reached on an error by the third baseman and the error allowed the Gonzales to score. Bryan Stanage followed with a double down the right field line to score McCarty. A single by Chaparro added two RBIs to his season total and make it a 10-5 game. Garvia grounded out to second base but Chaparro scored and made it a 10-6 game with just an inning and a half left.

The Orediggers added three runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead to seven with a score of 13-6. The Cowboys added one more run on a Oredigger fielding error by the second baseman to make it a 13-7 game.
Alvaro Gonzalez went deep three times this weekend.
