Cowboys Complete Sweep Over Thunderwolves

Box Score PUEBLO, Colo.- The Cowboys were looking for their first sweep of the Thunderwolves since the 2013 season on Sunday. Despite the Thunderwolves' late push, the Cowboys were able to keep the lead and finished the sweep by a score of 5-4.
 
Joseph Cilladi led the Cowboys off with a single to right field. After a Cowboy strikeout Alvaro Gonzalez extended his RMAC homerun lead as he went deep to left. Those two runs gave Gonzalez the team lead in RBIs with 39.
 
In the second inning Brian Chaparro was on second base when Ben Smithson singled to right. Smithson took second on the throw home as the Thunderwolves attempted to get Chaparro but the ball got away from the catcher and the Cowboys took the 3-0 lead.
 
The Cowboys led 5-0 as the Thunderwolves started to make their comeback. Snyder was in the box with runners on second and third when he took the pitch out to center field and made it a 5-2 game.
 
The Thunderwolves' bats were hot again in the bottom of the eighth inning as they would go on to score two runs on two hits to make it a one run game.
 
Steven Bishop came into to pitch the bottom of the ninth and was able to earn his first save of the season.
 
The Cowboys will finish their 2016 schedule on the road next weekend in a match-up with the Rangers of Regis University.
