Box Score DENVER, Colo.- The Cowboys and Rangers of Regis University kicked off the final series of the year this afternoon in Denver. The Rangers took the opening game by a score of 8-2.

The Cowboys wasted no time getting on the board. Joesph Cilladi was on first when
Alvaro Gonzalez singled to left center and Cilladi ended up at third.
Jeremy McCarty hit his team leading fifth sacrifice fly this season to give the Cowboys the 1-0 led.

The Rangers answered in the bottom half in the inning. With runners on the corners Navarro sent a rocket down the right field line to score two and give the Rangers the lead.

Navarro led things off in the third inning for the Rangers with a single up the middle. He then forced a Cowboy error when he stole second and the ball went into centerfield and he advanced to third. Sture then send a high fly ball to left field and Navarro tagged to make it a 3-1 game

In the sixth inning the Cowboys started to chip away. McCarty and
Jesus Caporal reached base after being hit by a pitch when
Frankie Silva dug into the box. Silva sent the ball over to the third baseman who couldn't come up with the ball and McCarty rounded third and went home to make it a one run game as the two teams headed to the bottom of the sixth.

With the rain starting to come down the Rangers started to string some hits together in the seventh. With runners on first and second LaComb hit a double to left center to push Dedin from second across the plate. Byers followed with a two run triple to right center to make it a 6-2 game. It didn't end there as after a Cowboy pitching change Overbow hit a no doubter to left field for a two run homerun.
