Last weekend, New Mexico Highlands traveled to take on # 18 Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian University. On Friday, the Cowgirls faced the Orediggers, but fell short and took their first conference loss 1-3. Senior
Caroline Hansen had nine kills and Sophomore
Bryanna Lopez had 19 digs in the match. Colorado Christian University swept the Cowgirls in three sets, but the Cowgirls showed signs of improvement. Once again leading the way,
Caroline Hansen had 11 kills and
Bryanna Lopez had 14 digs. The Cowgirls played their in-state rival Eastern New Mexico Tuesday night. Unfortunately, the Cowgirls lost as Eastern New Mexico took the match in the fourth set. Cowgirl Freshmen
Brianna Montano ended the night with 14 kills and Sophomore
Bryanna Lopez had 19 digs.

Earlier in the week the Lady Hardrockers played at home against Dickinson State and sealed their first victory (3-0). South Dakota Mines recently played at home against Fort Lewis losing 1-3. South Dakota also played Adams State losing 0-3.
