Las Vegas, New Mexico - On Wednesday, New Mexico Highlands University unveiled its 2026 volleyball schedule: 28 matches total, with eight tournament games and four Power Pod games split between two separate events.
The Cowgirls open the season in Gunnison Colorado with the Virgina Harris/Jeanie Miller invitational on the campus of Western Colorado University. Following that, the Cowgirls return home to host the Meadow City Classic presented by Trujillo Agency in Historic Las Vegas.
Where four other teams will travel to Historic Las Vegas including Lone Star Conference and archrivals Western and Eastern New Mexico. Plus, two teams out of the Great American Conference in Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southeastern Oklahoma State.
Last Season the Cowgirls won the state of New Mexico in capturing a victory over both Eastern New Mexico to open the season last year and later in the season capturing a five-set victory over Western New Mexico going 2-1 against the in-state foes on the season.
Senior Day presented by Quality Care will take place on November 7 when The Cowgirls host the defending National Champions Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Season tickets will go on sale later this summer.
