Cowboys Head on the Road to Face Mavericks

The New Mexico Highlands University Baseball team will hit the road as they take on the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks on March 31^st at 3:00 p.m., April 1^st at 12:00 p.m, and on April 2^nd at 12:00 p.m. Your Cowboys hold a 10-17 overall record, and a 6-9 RMAC record.
 
New Mexico Highlands University Cowboys: The Cowboys are coming off a series in which they split 2-2 against the Regis University Rangers. They hit the ball extremely well in this series as they racked up 48 runs in just four games. Senior Jeremy McCarty was a driving force during the series as he has 7 home runs and 35 RBIs on the season. Junior Luis Ornelas has also been huge for his team as he has 28 runs and 23 RBIs on the year. The Cowboys will look to continue this hot streak as they take on the Mavericks.
 
Colorado Mesa University Mavericks: The Mavericks will await the Cowboys on a 5 game winning streak as they boast an 18-8 overall record. Bligh Madris has led his team this year as he has a team leading .455 batting average. Madris also has 6 home runs and 25 RBIs, both of which are team highs. Kylel Serrano is second on the team with 5 homers this year. Kyle Leahy has been the ace on the mound for the Mavericks as he carries a 1.25 ERA with 25 strikeouts.
