LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- It's a big weekend in Las Vegas when it comes to the top of the RMAC men's basketball standings as New Mexico Highlands hosts UC Colorado Springs (tied for third in the RMAC) on Friday before hosting first-place and No. 16 Colorado School of Mines on Saturday at Wilson Complex.

THE COWBOYS COMING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Cowboys split a pair of games on the road last week as they lost at Black Hills State 81-70 on Friday and bounced back to defeat South Dakota Mines 73-70 on Saturday. In the loss on Friday, NMHU led by 18 points in the first half, but went cold offensively over the final 22 minutes of the game to fall by 11 points with Gerad Davis leading the team with 22 points. In Saturday's victory, the Cowboys came on late to pick up the win thanks to 21 points from Davis, 14 from Jordan Jones and 11 points from DJ Bustos.

The Cowboys are now second in the nation in turnover margin at +6.7 thanks to being 11th in turnovers forced (18.7), 15th in the NCAA in steals per game (9.6) and ranked 59th in turnovers committed per game (12.0) - all tops in the RMAC except in turnovers per game in which NMHU is second. NMHU still sits in the top 30 in the country and tops in the RMAC in scoring at 86.4 points per game.

Davis (20.5 ppg) and Raquan Mitchell (19.5) are No. 2 and 3, respectively in the RMAC in scoring with Jones also at No. 20 at 13.3 points per game. Davis leads the RMAC in scteals at 2.2 per game while Mitchell and Desmond Carpenter are tied for third (1.8) and Jones is tied for fifth (1.6). Nnamdi Okoro is second in the conference in rebounding (7.9)

ABOUT UC COLORADO SPRINGS | SEASON STATS
The Mountain Lions had their 10-game winning streak snapped last weekend as they dropped both games - falling to Chadron State 90-75 on Friday and at MSU Denver 93-81 on Saturday. Elijah Ross led the team in the loss Friday with 23 points while DaRuan Clark added 16 while Brandon Malone led UCCS in scoring with 21 points in the loss Saturday to the Roadrunners.

UCCS has five players averaging double figures led by Blend Avdili (13.4) and followed by Padiet Wang (12.5), Malone (11.4), Clark (11.2) and Ross (10.3). As a team, the Mountain Lions are fourth in the RMAC in scoring at 82.2 points per game while allowing 80.9 points per contest (13th in the conference). UCCS is fourth in the conference in 3-pointers per game at 9.4.

ABOUT COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES | SEASON STATS
The Orediggers head into this week on a 15-game winning streak (including 13-0 in RMAC play) - last losing Nov. 18 at Nebraska-Kearney. Ten of those wins have been by double figures with their closest call coming on the road in overtime at Colorado Mesa (99-94 win). Last week CSM won at MSU Denver 77-71 on Friday with Mason Baker leading the way with 21 points and at Chadron State 82-75 on Saturday with Brendan Sullivan leading the way with 20 points.

The Orediggers are second in the RMAC in scoring at 83.8 points per game while third in the conference in points allowed at 70.7 - leading to CSM leading the conference by a wide margin in scoring margin at 13.1 points per game (Regis is second at 6.2 while the Cowboys are third at 5.9). The Orediggers are second in the conference in shooting percentage at 50.4 percent and lead the RMAC in 3-point percentage at 41.4 percent. They also lead the RMAC in rebounding margin at +7.3 (the Cowboys are last at -7.1).

Baker leads five Orediggers averaging double figures in scoring at 15.5 points per game while Ben Sonnefeld is next at 14.0 followed by Ben Clare (12.1), Sullivan (11.7) and Michael Glen (10.9). Glen leads the team at 7.3 rebounds per game, Clare leads the team in blocks (1.3) while Sonnefeld leads the team in assists (4.4).
