Women's Soccer to host Regis & Black Hills State

Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls will look to win their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game as they host the Regis Rangers at 1 PM on Friday October 11^th and the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets at 11 AM on Sunday October 13^th in Santa Fe, NM at the City of Santa Fe Municipal Recreation Sports Complex.

ABOUT THE RANGERS: The Rangers (6-2-2, 4-1-1 RMAC) come in to the match currently ranked 3^rd in conference play. The Rangers have scored 21 goals on the season and have held their opponents to only 8. Audrey Teague, who has only started 3 out of 10 games for the Rangers, leads the team in points as she has a team high 7 goals with 25 shots taken and 15 of them being on goal. Carly Bych (4 goals, 2 assists), Emily Ramos (3 goals, 3 assists), and Tori Ramos (2 goals, 3 assists) have also helped the Rangers this season. Keeper Julia Coombs has started all 10 games for the Rangers as she has tallied 35 saves off 94 shots faced and has allowed all 8 goals against the Rangers.

ABOUT THE YELLOW JACKETS: The Yellow Jackets (2-7-1, 2-3-1 RMAC) are coming off a 1-1 weekend as they beat Western Colorado 4-2, and lost to Colorado Mesa 2-0. The Yellow Jackets have scored 8 goals on the season as they have allowed their opponents to score 19. Katie Nielson leads the team in goals as she has 3 on the season and also has an assist. Mikayla Hernandez (2 goals, 1 assist), Ella Goodman (1 goal, 1 assist), and Brianna Tudor (1 goal) have also aided the Yellow Jackets offense this season. Dz-Rae Jara and Teagen Hartley have shared time in the goal this season as Jara has started in 6 games and has allowed 13 goals off 159 shots faced with 54 saves. Hartley has started 4 games for the Yellow Jackets and has allowed 6 goals off 47 shots with 17 saves.

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS: The Cowgirls (0-7, 0-5 RMAC) continue to search for their first win as they have showed signs this year of improvement and heart.
