LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands baseball team hits the road to take on Colorado Christian as the Cowboys look to make a late season push.
NMHU is coming off taking three of four at home against Regis last weekend with all three wins being extra-inning, walk-off victories: An
Auggie Francis walk-off homer on Friday, a
Justin DeHoog walk-off RBI single Saturday and a
Garrett Hammer walk-off sacrifice fly Sunday.
The Cowboys are fifth in the RMAC in hitting at .313, sixth in home runs with 35 and seventh in runs scored (229).
Francis continues to lead the RMAC in hitting at .433 (16th in the country) while also leading the RMAC in hits (55), hit by pitch (11), on-base percentage (.526), runs (49) and triples (6), to go along with seven homers (seventh in the RMAC) and 12 stolen bases (fourth in the RMAC).

Jared Brown and
Justin DeHoog continue to be run-producing threats with Young hitting .333 with six homers, 10 doubles and a team-best 31 RBI, Brown is hitting .327 with six homers, eight doubles and 29 RBI while DeHog is hitting .310 with five homers, a team-best 12 doubles and 28 RBI.
Colorado Christian dropped three of four last weekend at home against MSU Denver - winning the third game of the four-game set 8-4 while dropping the other three games 7-3, 8-3 and 10-3. The Cougars are second-to-last (ninth) in the RMAC in hitting at .269 while they are eighth in ERA at 8.24 (one spot better than NMHU).
Leading CCU at the plate is Scotty Ingle as he's hitting .349 with seven doubles, two triples, 15 RBI and 22 runs. Carter Mossey is the only other CCU player at .300 or above at exactly .300 in 50 at-bats. Joe Manzano and Matt Kimura lead the team with 18 RBI apiece while Manzano and Connor Marschall each have a team-best three home runs.
On the mound, Justin Kiedinger has been the team's top arm with a 3.95 ERA in eight games (six starts - 41 innings) with 39 strikeouts and opponents hitting .263 against him.
