Track & Field Set for Masked Rider Open at Texas Tech

Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands track and field team looks to polish their form at the Masked Rider Open at Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX on Friday and Saturday.
 
The squad is coming off a solid performance at the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi's in Canyon, TX this past weekend where 16 athletes were able to set new personal bests. Taneika Elliston scored 4129 points to move in to second place on the RMAC performance list while Jasmine Turtle-Morales slid into first in the RMAC performance list in the 10k with an altitude adjusted time of 39:25.
 
Beatrice Armijo and Kadesha Adams also had strong performances for the Cowgirls as Armijo moved to the top-15 in the RMAC performance list by dipping under 16 seconds for her first time at 15.92 in the 100m hurdles and Kadesha Adams set two new personal bests in the 100m (12.02) and 200m (24.72) dash.
 
The Masked Rider Open is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. MT (1PM CT) with the javelin and results can be found in the link provided.
