Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands baseball team picks up six games in the final week of conference play that were postponed earlier in the season. The Cowboys will play a double-header at Colorado School of Mines at 4 pm on Wednesday, May 11
th and will stay in Denver, CO to take on Regis for a normal four-game series on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Cowboys are coming off a four-game series sweep against Adams State, their first sweep since February 9
th against Fort Hays State, where the
Gaylan Young brought in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Cowboys a 9-7 win in game four.

The Cowboys currently sit in 7
th spot in the RMAC standings, one behind CSU Pueblo and Colorado Christian (12-22, 11-20 RMAC) for final two spots in the conference tournament.

Colorado School of Mines is sits behind the Cowboys and have the two games against the Cowboys remaining. Colorado Christian will make up a game against CSU Pueblo on Wednesday and will finish off their schedule with a visit to No. 1 Colorado Mesa while the ThunderWolves will play the make-up game against CCU before finishing their schedule on the road against UCCS.

Kalen Hammer with a .366 batting average off 26 hits with a home run and 24 RBI.
Gaylan Young isn't far behind, batting .352 with 44 hits, 8 home runs, and a team-high 33 RBI. You can also expect to see
Estevan De La O (.346 AVG, 47 hits, 31 RBI),
Ashton Roy (.320 AVG, 31 hits), and
Jesus Chavez (.307 AVG, 31 hits) offensively for the Cowboys.
