Andrew Amor and
Collins Kurui were both named Academic All-Americans for the 2021 cross country season.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have completed at least 12 semester/quarter hours at their institution, own at least a 3.25 GPA and placed in at least the top 30 percent at regionals and top 50 percent at nationals.
Amor placed sixth at the NCAA regional on his way to a 30th-place finish at the national championships. Amor also won four consecutive races during the 2021 season, he owns a 3.88 in business management and is a sophomore from Australia.
Kurui is working on his second master's degree and has a 4.0 in computer science. Kurui was an All-American in 2015 before suffering a near career-ending injury in the summer of 2018. He completed his final season of eligibilty in 2021 after nearly two years of rehab. He is a graduate student from Kenya.
