Box Score 2 GOLDEN, Colo. --- The New Mexico Highlands baseball team defeated Colorado School of Mines 11-10 before falling to UCCS 6-4 in a non-RMAC pod Saturday at Jim Darden Field.
In the win against CSM (19-11), the Cowboys (9-22) used a nine-run fourth inning to take a 10-3 lead. The Orediggers chipped away, finally taking tying the game at 10-10 in the bottom of the eighth before an RBI single

Eric Papas to give NMHU and 11-10 lead.
Dominick Castillo tossed a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the win, going 1.2 innings and giving up two hits while striking out two.
Lehman finished the game going 3-for-5 with a home run, double and four RBI. Papas went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI,
Jared Brown homered and had three RBI and
Allan Salas went 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs.
Aidan McNichol and Lubby Marujo also had two hits apiece.
In the loss to UCCS, NMHUÂ fell behind 4-0 after three and 6-2 after four and couldn't come back to pick up the loss.
Joeh Kuhn hit a two-run homer for the Cowboys while
Brandon Baier went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Angel Castillo got the loss, going 6.1 innings and giving up six runs (five earned) on 12 hits with seven strikeouts and four walks.
The Cowboys return to action Sunday with a non-RMAC game against CSM in Golden.
