Colorado Springs, Colorado - A pair of Cowboys were recognized Thursday as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its All-RMAC Football Team.
For the second consecutive season linebacker
Devin Coney was named to the RMAC Football Second Team All-Conference Defense. Coney finished third in the RMAC with tackles this year and he was fifth in tackles for loss with 11.
"Devin is a fantastic leader and a tremendous family man," said Head Coach
Ron Hudson. "He has worked incredibly hard to be the best student and football player he can be."
Shawntay Mills Jr. was named RMAC Football Honorable Mention in the voting by the conference coaches. He finished fourth in the RMAC in rushing this season with 765 yards on 168 carries. Additionally, he tallied five touchdowns this season. His 138 yard effort against Chadron State ranks as the fifth highest rushing total in the conference this season.
"Shawntay is a powerful and physical player," said Coach Hudson. "He has overcome a great deal of adversity to get to this point and he has succeeded in the classroom as well."
