Plainview - The Cowboys open their 2023 season on the road in Plainview, TX against Wayland Baptist University.
Cowboys Manager Shannon Hunt is excited about the season and a new approach for such a young core as NMHU is only carrying 3 seniors this year.

"We're going to try an analytic approach to the game. We have a lot of talented guys and we're going to set them up for success" - Skipper Shannon Hunt.

Youth Movement
The Cowboys will be trying a lot of different things with the lineup early in the year. The lineup this Thursday will be substantially different than the lineup that the Cowboys field at home against Fort Hays State on Saturday the 11th.

Players to Watch
Cobe Lehman, Nate Vetter and Fabian Ferreira are all Seniors and look to end their final campaigns with a lot of growth in the program.


The Pioneers of Wayland Baptist University
The Pioneers have started the season 2-2 and Thursday is their home opener.
