Spring Game

The New Mexico Highlands University Cowboys football team took to the field for their annual spring game with two inter-squad teams, team White and team Purple. The game was a perfect opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate their players ahead of the 2023 fall season.

Both teams came out strong, and the offense and defense on both sides showed promising signs for the upcoming season. The quarterbacks showed great decision-making skills and made some impressive throws, connecting with their receivers for multiple touchdowns.

The defense also had a solid showing, making numerous big plays throughout the game. They were able to apply consistent pressure on the opposing quarterbacks, forcing them into rushed and incomplete passes. The defense also made several crucial stops on fourth down, showing that they have the ability to get off the field when it matters most.

The spring game was not just a showcase for the players, but also an opportunity for the community to come together and support the team. The stands were packed with fans, friends, and family, all cheering on their favorite players. The support from the community was a great reminder of the importance of football to the community and the university.
