Las Vegas, New Mexico - NMHU volleyball is in Gunnison for this weekend's RMAC Power Pod play. The Cowgirls are set for non-conference matches against Western Colorado and Black Hills State. NMHU enters play at 4-16 overall.
LAST WEEK: The Cowgirls dropped matches at South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State last weekend.
HEAD COACH:
Meg Grose is in her first season leading the New Mexico Highlands volleyball team. She was named the new head coach in December of last year after spending the 2023 season as the Head Coach at Lawrence University. She spent time as the assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands from 2020 to 2023.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Western Colorado is 9-12 overall after defeating South Dakota Mines 3-1 on Tuesday night. The Mountaineers defeated NMHU 3-1 earlier this month in Las Vegas. Jordan Bruere is in her second season at Western Colorado where she has a record of 14-33.
Black Hills State is 5-15 overall this season after dropping a 3-0 decision at South Dakota Mines and beating New Mexico Highlands 3-1 in Spearfish. Bree Davis is in her third season as the head coach at Black Hills State where she has a career mark of 15-57.
