Weldon Chebon is in Sacramento to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course. Race time is 11:00 am (MT).
Chebon was one of 23 student-athletes to receive an at-large bid to compete as an individual from the selection committee.
Two weeks ago Chebon placed eighth at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships in Denver completing the snow covered 10k course at Washington Park in 31:32.7 to earn All-Region honors. Last month he earned 1st Team All-RMAC at the conference championships in historic Las Vegas. Chebon was named the NCAA Division II Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA after winning the Dallas Baptist University Old Glory Gallup in early October.
