Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys baseball team is headed to Amarillo, Texas, for a four game weekend series with Panhandle State. The two teams will play doubleheaders Friday and Saturday with first pitch set for 11:00 am (MT) both days.
NMHU enters play this weekend in search of their first win of the 2024 campaign. The Cowboys have faced stiff competition to open the season as their previous opponents are a combined 46-12 (.793).
The Aggies, members of the Sooner Athletic Conference, head into the weekend with a record of 6-8. They have been off since splitting a doubleheader with Peru State on February 16th.
This weekend's games will be played at
Hodgetown, home of the Amarillo Sod Poodles, the Texas League Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Cowboys will be in Portales for single games with Eastern New Mexico next Friday and Saturday. The 2024 home opener is on Friday, March 15th, at 3:00 pm when CSU-Pueblo visits Las Vegas.
