Box Score 2 Amaraillo, Texas - The Cowboys recorded their first wins of the 2024 season today as they swept a doubleheader from Panhandle State winning the opener 4-3 and taking the nightcap 8-6. The games were played at Hodgetown, home of the Texas League Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
In the opener on Friday,
Jadrian Martinez pitched a seven inning complete game to pick up the win, giving up two earned runs and striking out seven batters.
Braylen Elzy went two for three with a triple and two RBI.
Lubby Marrujo was two for four with an RBI.
Friday's second game saw the Cowboys put up five runs in the top of the second to build a lead they never surrendered.
Dominick Castillo got the start and picked up the win while Jace Domini earned the save in relief. Cowboy hitters pounded out 11 hits with five players recording a multi hit game.
The two teams return to Hodgetown tomorrow for a doubleheader starting at 11:00 am (MT). Live Stats and video are available via
