Pueblo, Colorado - Two event wins and a half-a-dozen personal bests were the highlights for the HU women's track and field squad at Saturday's CSU-Pueblo Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invite.
Senior Katy Scott opened her final outdoor season with a win in the hammer (50.39m/165' 4") and a fourth-place showing in the discus (38.76m/127' 2"). Scott's hammer mark puts her a top the RMAC performance list in the event and her discus toss is a personal best by newly two meters.
"Katy's been waiting since August to compete," noted HU head coach Bob DeVries, "There was a little bit of rust, but you can really see the tweaks to technique she and coach (Howard) Dunbar have been working on."
Freshman

The Cowgirls also saw collegiate and personal bests from freshmen Nina Hol (Hammer),
Selena Fresquez (400m) and
