Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys are set for the 2024 home opener this weekend as Colorado School of Mines visits Las Vegas. Mother nature forced a location change to the original home opener when the series with CSU-Pueblo was moved to UNM's Santa Ana Star Field.
NMHU is 6-20 overall and 2-6 in the RMAC. The Cowboys are looking to get back to the win column as they were swept at Adams State last weekend.
Taiga Sato is hitting .390 and has collected 24 RBI to lead the Cowboys while
Tucker Simpson is hitting .373 and has four homers.
The Colorado School of Mines comes to town with an overall record of 14-12 and a 7-5 mark in conference play. The Orediggers took three of four in Golden last weekend from CSU-Pueblo.
Thursday's game will get under way at 3:00 pm, Friday's doubleheader is set for a 12:00 pm first pitch and the series finale on Saturday will begin at 12:00 pm.
