Patreece Clarke has been named the Week 4 RMAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance in the 100m Hurdles at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi last week in Canyon, Texas.
Clarke ran a blistering 13.39 to win the 100-meter hurdles at West Texas A&M's Jo Meaker Classic and Multi in Canyon, Texas, last weekend. Her time is the fastest in the RMAC this season and the fourth fastest among NCAA Division II runners. Clarke also ran on the Cowgirls' 4x100 meter relay team that posted the fourth-fastest time in the conference in 2024.
"This was a nice outdoor opener for Patreece. She looked quick over the first hurdle and was able to respond when the field closed late," said Head Coach Bob Devries. "She and Coach Russell are being patient in training and focusing on RMAC and nationals in the training plan."
This is Clarke's second time being recognized by the RMAC in 2023-24 as she was named the Track Athlete of the Year during the Indoor season for her performance in the 60M Hurdles at UNM's New Mexico Collegiate Classic in February.
The Cowgirls return to action this weekend at the Maverick Invite #2 in Grand Junction on Sunday.
