Grand Junction, Colorado - The Cowgirls Track and Field Team was at Colorado Mesa for the Maverick Invite #2 on Sunday and continued to post impressive results.
The Cowgirls broke four facility records at the CMU Track and Field Complex, posted three NCAA qualifying marks and numerous personal bests on Sunday.
Ashley Barrett returned to the track after suffering an injury last month and won the 100M and 200m races. Her 11.55 in the 100 meters was a facility record, top time in the RMAC this season and an NCAA qualifying time. In the 200 meters she went 23.44 which was also a facility record, fastest time in the RMAC and an NCAA qualifying time. Both times are also number two on the NMHU all-time performance list.
Cemore Donald ran a 56.03 in the 400 meters which was her personal best time, a facility record and just one tenth of a second from an NCAA qualifying time.
Patreece Clarke remains undefeated in the 100m Hurdles as she ran a 13.79 which was a facility record.
Nadine Rose posted another personal best time going 1:01.53 which was a facility record.
Rojrika Campbell was second in the Long Jump and qualified for the NCAA meet when she went 5.86m on her last jump of the day.
Josey French posted a new school record when she ran a 12:14.85 in the 3000m Steeplechase.
Olivia Moore posted a personal best in the 200m with a 25.87 to put her in position to qualify for the RMAC Championships.
The Cowgirls are back on the track at the Don Kirby Tailwind in Albuquerque this Friday.
