Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys play four games this weekend at nationally ranked Colorado Mesa beginning on Friday night at Suplizio Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 pm.
The Cowboys enter play at 7-35 overall and 3-21 in the RMAC.
Tucker Simpson continues hitting well for NMHU five hits in last weekend's series at Regis. On the year Simpson is hitting .361 with a team leading 33 RBI. Freshman
Carlos Chavez and
Gael Bernal continue to play well, hitting .344 and .333 respectively.
Colorado Mesa, ranked number 11 in this week's NCBWA Division II Poll, is 29-13 overall and 19-5 in conference play. The mavericks took three of four games last weekend at UCCS. Friday's game marks the 130th meeting all time between these two schools with Colorado Mesa holding a 90-39 lead in the series.
After Friday night's game the teams play a double header on Saturday starting at 3:00 pm. The series concludes with a single game on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
