Colorado Springs, Colorado - New Mexico Highlands senior pitcher
Jadrian Martinez was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Pitcher of the Week today.
Martinez was dominant in his only outing of the week against 11th-ranked Colorado Mesa in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader in Grand Junction. The lefthander delivered a complete game as the Cowboys beat the Mavericks 3-1. Martinez limited the RMAC's second highest scoring team to just one run en route to his third win of the season. He struck out three and did not allow an extra base hit to CMU.
"Jadrian pitched the best game I have seen this year in the RMAC," said head coach
Harry Estep. "He earned this week's award and it is a testament to the hard work and dedication he has demonstrated in his career at New Mexico Highlands University."
