Emporia, Kansas - Day two at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships has concluded at Emporia State. Both
Ashley Barrett and
Patreece Clarke were on the track competing in their respective events.
Sophomore
Patreece Clarke, making her second consecutive appearance at the Outdoor Championships, advanced to Saturday's finals in the 100m hurdles as she ran the fifth fastest time of the day in the preliminaries at 13.50.
Freshman
Ashley Barrett notched a Top Ten finish in the Women's 200m as she posted a 23.53 effort. Her time was just .05 seconds away from qualifying for the event finals. Barrett earns Second Team All-American honors in her second event at this year's championships.
Clarke will be back on the track Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:55 pm (MT) to race in the finals of the 100m hurdles. Live video coverage of the event can be found
