Colorado Springs, Colorado - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released the all-conference baseball teams this morning and a pair of Cowboys pitchers earned recognition in voting by the league's coaches.
Andrew Rodriguez was named the RMAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. Rodriguez was second on the Cowboys pitching 53 ā
innings this spring. He led the team with 43 strikeouts in his 12 appearances. Rodriguez was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week yesterday as he pitched seven scoreless innings in the Cowboys 11-0 win over Colorado Christian.
"This is a great achievement for Andrew," said head Coach Harry Estep. "We are excited to see what he accomplishes in his next three years as a Cowboy."

Jadrian Martinez earned 2024 RMAC Baseball All-Conference Honorable Mention. Martinez led the Cowboy's staff and was fourth in the RMAC with 61 innings pitched this spring. Additionally he logged three wins and struck-out 40 batters. Martinez earned RMAC and NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week on April 30th for his outstanding performance in NMHU's 3-1 win at nationally ranked Colorado Mesa.
"Jadrian is the type of pitcher every coach wants on their staff," said Coach Estep. "He will be missed tremendously here at Highlands but we are glad to see him go out with this award."
The Cowboys concluded the 2024 season last Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of Colorado Christian in Las Vegas.
