Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands Track and Field team returns to action this Friday and Saturday at the University of New Mexico Team Open at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Competition gets under way at 3:30 pm on Friday and 10:30 am on Saturday.

Bob DeVries will take a small contingent to compete in the highly competitive field that features more than a dozen Division I teams and a handful of Division II programs.
"We have some very specific goals in mind this weekend," noted Cowgirls Head Coach
Bob DeVries, "We'll look to get some people on the national list and try to race fast in the relay on Saturday."
A pair of NMHU athletes will find themselves in very fast company this weekend. Both Rujeko Munesti (60m) and All-American
Ashley Barrett (200m) earned their way into invitational sections of their respective events.
"Ashley and Rujeko are the only Division II athletes in the invitational sections, they're going to line up against competitors from Texas, California, Arizona State, Stanford-- it's going to be fast," said DeVries.
