Cowgirls Play At Colorado Christian Tuesday NIght

Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls begin the final week of the 2025 regular season on Tuesday night with a match in Lakewood, Colorado, against Colorado Christian University. First serve is scheduled for 6:05 pm.

NMHU is 12-13 overall and 4-7 in RMAC matches entering play on Saturday evening.

NMHU HEAD COACH: Meg Grose is in her second season at New Mexico HIghlands. She earned her first win as the head coach of the Cowgirls over Sul Ross State on September 13th and her first conference win against Adams State on September 20th, 2024. She was previously the head coach at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.

LAST TIME OUT: The Cowgirls split a pair of matches last week as they defeated Western New Mexico 3-2 on Tuesday night before losing to CSU-Pueblo 3-0 on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS: Colorado Christian brings a record of 9-14 overall and 4-7 in RMAC play into Tuesday's meeting with the Cowgirls. The Cougars lost their only match last week to Adams State 3-2 in Lakewood. Bobby Blanken, a graduate of Missouri Western, is in his ninth season at the helm of the Cougars.

Tuesday is the only meeting of the year between the two teams with the Cougars holding a 7-3 commanding 10-0 lead in the last ten matches played in the series.

CAREER MILESTONE: Senior Abby Carlsen eclipsed the 1,000 career assist mark earlier this month at Chadron State.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: As a team, the Cowgirls lead the RMAC at 1.91 service aces per set and are sixth in the conference at 16.17/digs per set.

Becca Wiersema is seventh in the RMAC with 3.96 digs per set and sixth with 0.35 service aces per set.

Meg Pfannerstill is fifth in the RMAC with 0.37 service aces per set.

The Cowgirls 20 service aces against Northwestern Oklahoma State is the most by an RMAC team this season.
