Gunnison, Colorado - The 2025-26 Indoor Track and Field season kicked off with a strong performance by the Cowgirls this weekend at Western Colorado's Mountaineer Field House. The meet was highlighted by
Patreece Clarke and
Ashley Barrett posting NCAA provisional times in their first outings of the season.
Barrett won the 60m Dash in a time of 7.48 and Patreece Clarks posted a 7.53 mark in the preliminaries securing the provisional times.
Clarke also secured her second NCAA time as she won the 60m Hurdles in 8.46.
Other highlights from Gunnison:
- Rojrika Campbell finished second in the triple jump with an 11.73 effort.
- Amoya Johnson was second in the 400 meters as she ran a 57.14.
- Freshman Rihana Allen was fourth in the 400 meters at 59.98.
- Freshman Kayci-Jo Davis was third in the 200m Dash with a time of 25.65 and fifth in the 60m dash at 7.79.
- Freshman Aaliyah Maria was third in the 600 meters with a time of 1:56.37.
The Cowgirls look forward to the new year when they return to action on January 25th at UNM's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational.
