Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys are back on the road heading to Amarillo for a four game series with Oklahoma Panhandle State. The two teams are scheduled for doubleheaders Thursday and Friday beginning at 11:00 am (MT) both days.
All four games this weekend will be played at
Hodgetown, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks AA affiliate. This week's games mark the second year in a row that the Aggies and Cowboys are playing in Amarillo.
"We appreciate the opportunity to play games at this stadium," said Head Coach
Harry Estep. "It's an easy trip over from Las Vegas and a great experience for our guys."
NMHU enters play this week at 3-5 overall after taking the series finale from Northwestern Oklahoma State 7-5 on Sunday afternoon. After eight games, the Cowboys are third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a team batting average of .320.
The Aggies are 7-5 overall after taking three of four from Peru State College in Goodwell last weekend.
The Cowboys return home for single games with Eastern New Mexico next Friday and Saturday in historic Las Vegas. First pitch both days is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
