Las Vegas, New Mexico - The NMHU track and field team is in Colorado Springs for the Colorado Running Company Mountain Lion Open on Saturday. This is the final event for the Cowgirls ahead of the 2025 RMAC Indoor Championships which are scheduled to begin on February 28th.
One of the areas of focus for the Cowgirls on Saturday is the 4x400 relay. Injuries and illness have prevented the team from having its top four runners on the track at the same time this season.
Another area will be solidifying the provisional times they have already secured to ensure selection to the NCAA Indoor Championships next month.
