Alamosa, Colorado - The Cowboys dropped both ends of Friday's doubleheader at Adams State losing 18-6 and 7-4. NMHU is now 10-30 overall and 2-22 in the RMAC.
In Friday's opener, the hosts came out of the gate quickly scoring five runs in the first inning and another six in the second to put the game out of reach.
Offensively for NMHU,
Bryant O'Neil belted his team leading 13th home run of the season.

Tucker Simpson, and Nate Crugedo each had two hits in the game.
The Cowboys took an early 3-0 lead in the second game as they scored a run in the first and two in the third.
NMHU added another run in their half of the sixth inning but a four run outburst by Adams State in the bottom of the sixth sealed the win for the Grizzlies.
Roman Robles had the hot bat in the second game as he was three for three with a double and a run scored.
The Cowboys play the final road series of the season next weekend when they travel to Denver to face Regis.
