Golden, Colorado -
Rojrika Campbell continued her sensational performance at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, claiming her second individual title of the weekend in the triple jump. Her dominant leap of 12.19m (39-11 1/2") secured the victory by over a foot, adding to her long jump crown from Friday. Campbell will now aim for a remarkable third championship in Sunday's high jump final.
The Cowgirls showcased their strength across multiple events on Saturday. In the sprints,
Ashley Barrett and
Kacian Powell both advanced to the 200-meter final in impressive fashion. Barrett shattered the RMAC record with a blazing time of 23.23 while Powell was the third-fastest qualifier at 23.88. Rujeko Munesti narrowly missed joining them, finishing just 1/100th outside the final.
Junior
Patreece Clarke continued her reign in the hurdles, qualifying first for the final with a commanding time of 13.61, nearly a full second ahead of the competition.
Freshman
Nizhoni Apodaca wrapped up her season in the shot put, finishing in 23rd place. She and fellow freshman Zaivien Bowen will both compete in the discus finals on Sunday.
