Colorado Springs, Colorado - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released the 2025 Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll this afternoon.Ā New Mexico Highlands received 37 points, good for a 14th place finish,Ā in the voting by the conference's 15 coaches.
"We have a solid group of nine returners and eight newcomers," said second year Head Coach
Meg Grose. "We have some big goals as a team and I believe seeing them picked 14th in the preseason poll will fire them up and they'll want to prove people wrong."
Junior
Jaylee Gonzales, an 2024 Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection, leads a group of nine returnees from last year's team. The veterans were joined by eight new players when the Cowgirls opened preseason workouts last week.
The Cowgirls play an exhibition match at the University of New Mexico this Saturday at 1:00 pm. Their regular season opener is against Eastern New Mexico at the Mustang Volleyball Invitational in Silver City on September 5th at 9:00 am.
