Las Vegas, New Mexico - With the fastest 60m hurdle time in the nation and two RMAC champions in the field, a pair of Cowgirls are headed to Virginia Beach for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships beginning Friday.
Senior
Patreece Clarke enters the meet with the fastest qualifying time in the country in the 60m hurdles at 8.20. Clarke is a three-time RMAC Champion in the event, capturing the title in 2024, 2025, and 2026. She earned All-American honors at last year's Division II Championships with a sixth-place finish in 8.42.
Junior
Ashley Barrett qualified in both the 60m (7.38 – 12th in the nation) and the 200m (23.80 – 8th in the nation) after winning both events at the RMAC Championships and earning Track Athlete of the Meet honors. Barrett also earned All-American honors at the 2025 Division II Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 60m (7.44).
The NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center beginning Friday morning. Clarke will compete in the 60m hurdles, while Barrett is scheduled to race in both the 60m and 200m during the two-day championship meet.
