New Mexico Highlands Takes Aim At RMAC Titles

Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls Track & Field team heads to Pueblo this weekend for the 2026 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl. Competition begins Friday at 10:00 am with the opening events of the women's heptathlon.

New Mexico Highlands enters the championship with the top marks in the RMAC in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100 relay, 100m hurdles, and triple jump, positioning the Cowgirls as one of the conference's top contenders.

Nationally, Patreece Clarke owns the fastest time in the 100m hurdles (13.00), while Ashley Barrett ranks among the top five in both the 100m and 200m. The Cowgirls' 4x100 relay team of Clarke, Barrett, Kayci-Jo Davis, and Amoya Jameison holds the fourth-fastest time in the nation at 44.75.

The Cowgirls placed third at the 2025 RMAC Championships, totaling 110 points.

The participant field for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced at 4:00 pm (New Mexico time) on May 12th. The national championship meet will take place at Emporia State May 21st - 23rd.
