“This was a great was for our girls to answer back after a loss. They played excellent today and to be 6-3 heading into the break is great for us. This is our best start in three years. We will be getting back Sheena Cole from injury after the break and she should provide us with another offensive weapon on the court. We will have a huge test when we travel to NMSU later this month, but we will be ready. We have a few things to work on and refine, but I do think our best basketball is ahead of us” said elated
Head Coach Tiffany Darling following her Cowgirls 112-44 win over the Northern New Mexico Eagles.
The Cowgirls finished the game shooting 54% from the field and 79 from the free throw line. The Cowgirls played tremendous and tenacious defense causing 36 turnovers by the Eagles and racking up a season high 25 steals as a team for the game.
