Later in the afternoon, the Cowgirls and Orediggers played their second game of the day.

The Cowgirls fought back by cutting the lead in half when they scored two runs in the top of the second inning (4-2).

Erica Wieck hit a single into center field for a one run score. The hit left bases loaded for a scoring opportunity.  The following batter Devon Paiz seized the chance and drove in another Cowgirls' run when she hit a single to left field.

In the second inning, the Orediggers found no luck scoring, when the Cowgirls' pitcher sat three batters straight.

The Cowgirls were going in the right direction after cutting the deficit and shutting the Orediggers out in the second inning but ran into some trouble in the third inning.

NMHU did not score in the top of the third inning, leaving two runners on base.

When the Orediggers took the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning they scored two more runs and furthered their lead 6-2.

Devon Paiz went 3-4 hitting and brought in one RBI.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Orediggers continued their offense with another score 7-2.
