Dirk Tavenner is leading the way for the NMHU Rodeo team at the College National Finals Rodeo this week. Tavenner is currently sitting in third place in the Steer Wrestling event after posting times of 5.3 seconds in the first go and 6.2 seconds in the third go.
Cowboy
Preston McCullar, the 2013 Grand Canyon Region All-Around Cowboy, has taken hold of ninth place in both the Tie-Down Roping and Steer Wrestling events. McCullar posted times of 10.1 seconds in the first go and 19.2 seconds in the second go of the Tie-Down Roping.
Cowgirl
Kindee Wilson holds on to 13th place in the Breakaway Roping, after getting a time of 2.9 seconds in the third go. She is also in 19th place in the Goat Tying event with times of 6.9 seconds and 6.4 seconds in the first and second go.
Cowboy
Brady Dinwoodie has a 16th place ranking in the Saddle Bronc Riding with scores of 60.5 and 57 points in the first and second go. Cowgirl
Emma Chase is in 29th place in the Barrel Racing after posting times of 14.75 and 14.31 seconds in the first and second go.
The College National Finals Rodeo continues all this week, finishing up on Saturday, June 15. The Cowboys are currently in 46th place in the Men's Team standings while the Cowgirls are holding 24th place in the Women's Team standings.
