LAS VEGAS, N.M. – New Mexico Highlands softball (14-22, 8-15 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference), looking to make a push for the conference tournament, faces Chadron State (10-26, 10-14 RMAC) for a four-game set Saturday and Sunday (April 11-12).

Just a Preview Chadron State catcher Zoe Humphries is tied for second in the conference in home runs with nine, while Katelyn Kruger is tied for fourth with eight. Kruger leads the team with 26 RBIs.
In the infield, Kruger and Lecher have combined for over 250 outs. Kruger is fourth in the RMAC in fielding percentage and tied for third with six double plays. She is currently tied for third in Chadron State history with 22 double plays, needing just four more to break the career record of 25.
In the circle for the Eagles, Tayler Hall has nine wins with a 4.74 ERA. She has the second most strikeouts in the conference with 108 and has the sixth lowest opponent batting average. Junior Cierra Cosslett picked up her first win while pitching a shutout against Regis in the final game.
New Mexico Highlands is led by sophomore
Gabby Hansell's .451 batting average, the third-best in the conference. Sophomore
Katelyn Bates has a team-high 36 RBIs and is third in the conference with eight home runs.
Senior
Jessica Brink paves the way in the circle for the Cowgirls. She has a 4.31 ERA and an 8-9 record.
Next Up The Cowgirls take to the road for the final time in the regular season next weekend (April 18-19) when they travel to take on rival Western New Mexico.
