Box Score 2 LAS VEGAS N.M.- The Cowgirls and Rangers wrapped up their four game series with two games on Sunday afternoon.

Game 1The Cowgirl took the first game of the day in 12 innings by a score of 7-6.Â
After getting three ground outs in the top of the first the Cowgirls would get their bats going in the bottom half of the innings. With one out
Monica Caporal singled to left field to get the Cowgirls going.
Katelyn Bates then hit a rope to the shortstop would couldn't field it cleanly giving the Cowgirls runners on first and second.
Ashton Borunda laid down a great bunt and beat the throw to first to load the bases for the Cowgirls. The Rangers would get the second out on an infield pop up.
Ka'iulani Kamai got a hold of one and pulled it to left for a bases clearing double. The Cowgirls lead 3-0 after just an inning of play.

The Rangers would score one run in the top of the fourth. With a runner on first and Sexton grounded into a double play but King would score to make it 3-1.

In the top of the fifth the Rangers would find some life. Aviles led them off when a single down the left field line, Pearshall came into run for her. Cox dug into the box and hit a single to third base and gave the Rangers runners on first and second. McGinn laid down a bunt but the throw was too late and the Rangers had bases loaded.
Madison Davis would get Finger to strike out for the first out. Prescott would hit a ball towards the shortstop the Cowgirls were not able to make the play and Pearsall crossed the plate. A fielder's choice would get the runner and home and two outs in the inning. John singled to right filed and score Prescott and McGinn to give them the 4-3 lead after the top of the fifth.

In the tip of the seventh the Rangers would strike again. It all started with one out with Prescott singled to left field. After a fly out by King, John singled to right to give them runners on the corners. John would steal second and put some pressure on the Cowgirls. Sexton knocked a ball to left center and gave the Rangers the 6-3 lead with just three outs left in the game.

Caporal started off the bottom on of the seventh with a triple to left center. Bates followed that up with a single to left center to drive Caporal in and make it a 6-4 game. A fielder's choice would put an out on the board before
Dekota Monarrez went deep over the center filed wall barely missing the scoreboard to tie the game! Seven innings would not be enough as we headed into free softball.

Aviles started the Rangers in the top of the eight with a single up the middle. Cox followed that a double to right center the give the Rangers two runners in scoring position. A walk to McGinn would load the bases with no outs. Finger stepped up to the plate and hit a fly ball to right field but Aviles didn't even attempt to score against Bournda's arm. Prescott dug into the box for the Rangers with one out when she hit a come back to Davis who through it home to get the lead runner at home and keep the Rangers from scoring.

The 12
th saw excitement as with one out
Marissa Valencia drew a walk. Cavone singled to move Valencia to third, Cavone advanced to second on the throw to third. With Solis up to bat, the Ranger's pitcher lost grip on a ball and threw a wild pitch that allowed Valencia to score from third and give the Cowgirls the 7-6 win!Â
Game 2The Rangers would go ahead in the second inning with Cox at the plate. Cox would go deep over the left center fence to give the Rangers the early 1-0 lead. In the top of the sixth the Rangers would strike again. Illias hit a one out single to the pitcher. Cox followed up a single to left field. After a fielder's choice and a double steal the Rangers had two runners within 120 feet of home. After a walk to load the bases, McClure and
Madison Davis battled before McClure watche a close one go by for ball four to make it a 2-0 Rangers after five and a half.

The Cowgirls would string some hits together in the sixth inning. With two out in the sixth Borunda singled to right field to start the two out rally. A single by Cavone gave the Cowgirls runners at first and second. Gonzlaes followed suit with a single to load the bases. Valencia moved the dirt about in the batter's box before she singled to left field and scored Borunda and Weatherbee, who pinched ran for Cavone, to tie the game at two all! After six innings this game looked like it would be like the first and go into extras.

In the top of the ninth the Rangers once again strung hits together. It started with Hull singleing up the middle, then being pinch ran for by Pearsall. McClure sacrificed her self on a bunt to get Pearsll over to second. McGinn saw a pitch that se like and double to the left side and scored Pearsall to give them the 3-2 lead over the Cowgirls after eight and a half by a score of 3-2.

The Cowgirls would try to make something happen in the bottom of the but they would go down on order and the Rangers would take the game by a score of 3-2.

The Cowgirls will return to action next weekend at home against Metro St. for another four game series. The first two games will be on Saturday at noon and 2 p.m. Live stats and video will be available. Â
